GOALS

The “FuturLab – Costruiamo il Futuro” Association aims to achieve very ambitious objectives and, therefore, particularly difficult to achieve since they concern very delicate problems, real social plagues such as, for example, youth unemployment which has reached very high and dramatic percentages.
FuturLab, as a laboratory of the future and for the future, wishes to satisfy the social needs of citizens, improve the quality of life and directly and indirectly create social value.

  • Implement social innovation policies, through the active involvement of citizens.

  • Fight social exclusion through the creation of initiatives that come from all walks of life.

  • Implement sustainable development also through the valorisation of the territory with the aim of contributing to solving problems linked to territorial and environmental degradation and optimizing and strengthening development linked to the tourism sector.

  • Supporting institutions in change: in operational, technological, cultural and ethical mentality.

  • Use training as a strategic lever for change, in order to create a public and private ruling class capable of constituting a competitiveness factor characterized by effectiveness and efficiency.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
Our strategic objectives are aimed at satisfying citizens' primary social needs such as, for example, work. It is our intention, in fact, to create the best conditions that allow us to facilitate, support and promote the meeting between job supply and demand. In order to achieve this objective, another fundamental and preparatory activity to be implemented is training expressed in all its lines of activity which differ depending on the recipients of the training offer.

Among our objectives there is ample space for activities aimed at the cultural and internal growth of the individual as a person. Often a cultural change, in the broad and complete sense of the term, can allow the achievement of extraordinary results for the growth of a community.

MISSION
We are a non-profit association born from the desire, passion and determination of people of good will who intend to make their skills and knowledge available to society in order to achieve socially useful objectives essential for the development of the territories within the regions where they have headquarters of the territorial branches of the association (Sicily and Lazio).

OPERATIONAL OBJECTIVES
To date we have paid two scholarships to indigent students attending schools in Catania on the occasion of the annual event organized by Cus Catania and which takes place at the University of Catania aimed at supporting the neediest students. We stimulated some communities (Catania, Palermo, Acireale) with four high quality events (both in terms of participants and the level of speakers) which addressed highly topical issues and which require immediate and effective responses from the institutions always with the help of civil society.

In order to achieve the objectives we have set ourselves, we have stipulated memoranda of understanding and official agreements with the stakeholders.
Numerous activities of high social utility are underway and in the planning phase.
